What We Do

Kalos Services is a full-service HVAC company based in Clermont, Florida, specializing in residential and light commercial heating, air conditioning, and indoor air quality solutions. We pride ourselves on technical excellence, customer service, and a culture of continuous learning.

My Role

As Co-Founder and President, I've been involved in every aspect of building Kalos from the ground up—from turning wrenches in the field to developing our company culture, training programs, and strategic direction. I'm passionate about creating an environment where technicians can thrive and customers receive exceptional service.

How We Started

I co-founded Kalos Services in 2006 at the age of 23, driven by a vision to build an HVAC company that prioritized integrity, technical skill, and employee development. Starting with just a few team members and a commitment to doing things right, we've grown into a respected name in Central Florida's HVAC industry.

What Makes Us Different

  • Technical Training Focus: We invest heavily in ongoing education and skill development for our technicians.
  • Transparent Pricing: Customers know what they're paying for and why.
  • Culture of Excellence: We hire for character and train for skill, fostering a team that genuinely cares.
  • Community Engagement: We're not just a business; we're part of the community we serve.

What We Do

HVAC School is a comprehensive educational platform for HVAC/R professionals, featuring a top-rated podcast, online training resources, and a vibrant community. We cover technical topics, business skills, and personal development to help technicians and business owners excel in the trades.

My Role

As Founder, I host the HVAC School podcast, create educational content, and curate resources that empower HVAC professionals worldwide. My goal is to elevate the skilled trades by making high-quality education accessible and engaging.

How We Started

HVAC School began as a podcast in 2015, born from my desire to share knowledge and connect with others in the industry. What started as a side project quickly grew into a global platform, reaching thousands of technicians and becoming a trusted voice in HVAC education.

What Makes Us Different

  • Practitioner-Led: Content created by someone who's been in the field, not just a theorist.
  • Comprehensive Topics: From technical deep-dives to soft skills and business strategy.
  • Community-Driven: A supportive network where professionals can learn and grow together.
  • Free and Accessible: Most resources are available at no cost, democratizing education in the trades.

What We Do

The GRIT Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families in the skilled trades through financial assistance, educational resources, and community programs. We focus on helping those facing hardship and promoting the value of trade careers.

My Role

As Co-Founder and Board Member, I help guide the foundation's mission, fundraising efforts, and program development. I'm committed to giving back to the trades community that has given me so much.

How We Started

The GRIT Foundation was established to address the real needs we saw in the trades community—technicians and their families facing unexpected challenges, and young people needing support to enter the trades. We wanted to create a safety net and a pathway for those who work hard but sometimes need a hand.

What Makes Us Different

  • Trades-Focused: Specifically designed to serve the skilled trades community.
  • Direct Impact: Funds go directly to individuals and families in need.
  • Educational Support: Scholarships and resources to help the next generation enter the trades.
  • Community-Built: Supported by donations from within the trades, for the trades.

What We Do

Blue Rabbit Consulting is a trades-forward, building science based engineering firm specializing in HVAC design, troubleshooting, and building performance. Our founding partners have over 70 years of combined experience in HVAC design, installation, troubleshooting, manufacturing, owner representation, and code development. We provide moisture and humidity forensics, custom systems training, system troubleshooting, owner representation, design review, and trade stakeholder representation services.

My Role

As Founder, I lead a team of licensed trade professionals and engineers who turn building liabilities into assets. We serve as owner representatives on construction projects, troubleshoot complex moisture and HVAC issues, develop custom training materials for building management teams, and provide expert guidance that bridges the gap between theoretical design and practical field application.

How We Started

Blue Rabbit Consulting was founded to address a critical gap in the building industry—the disconnect between engineering theory and hands-on practice. Too often, engineers are hired when field expertise is required, and field experts are hired when engineers are needed. We built Blue Rabbit to bring together the best of both worlds: licensed professionals with deep field experience and engineering expertise who can solve complex construction and mechanical problems.

What Makes Us Different

  • Trades-Forward Approach: We combine engineering expertise with extensive field experience—our team has turned wrenches, not just studied theory.
  • Diverse Skillset: Licensed trade professionals and engineers across MEP, Controls, and Building Envelope disciplines.
  • Responsible Stewardship: We focus on the responsible use of people, finances, time, air, water, and energy in the built environment.
  • Mission-Driven: Committed to improving infrastructure and shifting societal mindsets about how intelligence is valued, one project at a time.
  • National Network: Access to best-in-class field and design professionals across the country.
